During this time, we hire someone to walk them 2-3 times per day. A long relaxing walk to keep them happy and help their immune systems. This also helps us get to know them better in terms of behavior and personality.
After vaccination we wait another 10-15 days to spay/neuter. Once the medical protocol is complete, they are sent to boarding/training. We work with 4 different boarding facilities and decide which one according to the specific needs of each dog: One with lots of space for very active ones, one for the ones that need more socialization, one for the puppies, shy and older ones that need more love and sweetness, and one with a more specialized medical care for those who still undergo treatment. We also work with behaviorists for the special cases that come from abuse or trauma, giving them more time and specialized attention. During this process we also start selecting the dogs that have the characteristics for emotional support animals and begin working with them together with the caretakers.
